Saber is a stunning, one and a half year old, AKC registered female out of import lines.

We originally heard about her back in January when she was not even a year old, however, her Mom decided that, with some help from us, she would try to keep her after all.

She worked with her and a trainer for over seven months. The problem is that this was her Mom's first dog and Saber was not the right match for her. This puppy needed leadership,GSD experience, lots of activity and stimulation as well as training, socialization and confidence building. And while Mom had reduced her work hours somewhat, she ultimately realized that this active GSD is a bit too much dog for a novice

Saber is out of very strong East German (DDR) and Czech lines, typically bred to be potential working dogs.

Saber just came out of heat, so we'll have to wait a while before she can be spayed, after which we are going to bring her to Phoenix to reevaluate her. We do know that she has the additional training we recommended, has gained confidence, and does know her basics well. She is trustworthy left loose in the house when alone. This gorgeous sable lady is friendly and does well with other dogs but no cats, small dogs or young children for now.

She is chipped, house trained, current with vaccinations and will be spayed.

Most importantly, when ready for forever, Saber must have a person or family with plenty of time for her and eager to explore her potential.

For now, we are searching for a Phoenix foster; so our staff can spend lots of time getting her ready for her new, active life.

Please read our foster program page: OUR FOSTER PROGRAM and submit an application to foster if you think you can help.

Please check back as we learn more about her.

Adoption fee to be determined.
