*BUDDY* IN A NUTSHELL: Large, active youngster (about 16-18 months) that gets along well with people (including children -- he is living with an 11 month old) and dogs of all sizes (he is currently living with several chihuahuas). No cats.
Buddy was found by a Good Samaritan, Danielle, who saw him running down the street in the heat in late summer. He was headed for 35th Avenue and certain death when he was headed off by Danielle in her vehicle -- Buddy just jumped right in and settled down for the ride, thankful to be safe and out of the heat.

Danielle posted fliers and checked everywhere she could think of, but months went by and no one appeared to be looking for this handsome young boy. When it became apparent that Buddy's owners were not looking for him, Danielle had him neutered (in Septemner) and updated on shots in hopes of finding a good home for him. The vet placed his age at approximately one year; but we're going to add a few months to that and call him a teenager at 16 to 18 months). In the meantime, Buddy was living with her and her 10 month old son and several chihuahuas of different ages in a small mobile home.

Unfortunately, having a dog Buddy's size was against Danielle's rental restrictions and she reached out to us for help and provided these pictures.

UPDATE 10/22: We were finally able to meet and take our own "up close and personal" photos of this handsome boy. Buddy approached our staff member without fear and was happy to be able to stretch his legs, investigate the yard and receive some love and affection from a new person.

Buddy and his Good Samaritan

What's that noise?

Hello, stranger

Happy boy

Since we have NO open space available at this time, we have asked Danielle to hang onto Buddy for just a bit longer until we can find a suitable foster home or make room for him with one of our staff members. Buddy is housetrained, crate trained and has been left alone without problems in the home. If you have room in your home and heart for this boy, please let us know. His time with Danielle is limited.

Adoption fee $375.00.

If you are interested in Buddy, please fill out our PROSPECTIVE ADOPTER'S QUESTIONNAIRE. You will be contacted by return email.
