|SCOTTY IN A NUTSHELL: Friendly 1 year old puppy. Appears housebroken and crate trained. All you add is love!|
|Scotty was discovered by our facebook angel Kathy J in a post by "Saving Riverside Dogs." The post read, in part, "NINETY SIX DOGS ARE SCHEDULED FOR EUTHANASIA! THIS DOG ALONG WITH 95 OTHERS ARE AT RISK OF EUTHANASIA. Euthanasia is immiment. This dog will be terminated if no immediate rescue or adoption intervention." It definitely caught our attention.
Kathy emailed the shelter and attempted to get further information, but all she was told was, "Came in with some medical issues; laceration above right eye, resolving, swelling interdigital spaces, dirty coat w/ticks noted, underweight. Social with staff. Kenneled alone." With such limited information we were leery, but our Husky Camp team (Chuck and Jon) volunteered to go to the shelter and meet this boy ... and within 30 minutes were walking out with Biscotti (now nicknamed "Scotty") in tow.
UPDATE 7/29: Scotty was neutered today and received his rabies vaccinations. After a suitable recovery period, he will be making his way to Phoenix in search of his forever home.
UPDATE 8/7: Scotty was picked up and brought to Phoenix this afternoon, courtesy of a staff member and volunteer Wendy. What a sweet, friendly boy he is!
Scotty had no hesitation whatsoever in approaching and meeting us. He's a total sweetheart and just wants to love and be loved. Scotty is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and microchipped. He's ready to steal your heart.
UPDATE 8/8: Scotty checked in to Doggie District this afternoon to meet some new friends and have some fun!
UPDATE 8/12: Scotty seemed very overwhelmed with the number of dogs and the high level of excitement at Doggie District, so we have brought him back to his temporary foster home where he has settled back in like he'd never left. His "substitute mom," Goldie, is happy to have him back! He's fine with other dogs and actually ran with the pack (of 10) at Husky Camp, but he's a youngster and his confidence needs time to build as he matures. He's such a sweet boy.
Adoption fee $425.00.
